The
Enjoyment of Amusement Parks
Amusement parks have been one of our most
popular attractions to go to. When it's splashy, thrilling, or magical, people
enjoy spending their free time at an amusement park. One earlier tradition that
started the amusement park was the fair, which began on 1133. It involved
entertainment as a freak show, acrobatics, conjuring and juggling; however, the
first park built with a theme was Santa Clause Land, in Santa Clause, Indiana,
and it didn't open until 1946. Now, there are more amusement parks with themes.
There are many types of rides in amusement parks such as, roller-coasters, water
rides, and children rides.
Roller-coasters are the rides where
everyone goes to get an adrenaline rush. It might seem fun, but once the rider
is on the ride, there's no turning back. Six Flags, Hershey Park, and Knott's Berry Farm have some of the most thrilling roller-coasters. First, Six Flags has
the Batman ride that loops and twists. The Lex Luther ride is a 415 feet tower.
It starts by going to the top; however, people don't know when they are going
to be dropped. Boom! There goes everyone not knowing if to scream or cry. Then
there's Superman of Escape from Krypton. It’s a ride that goes 90 degrees up
forward, but then it takes you backward. Second, Hershey Park has the Fahrenheit
ride, which is a vertically lifted ride that loops. The ride begins with a drop
of 97 degree, and goes at a fast speed for the rest of the ride. The Sidewinder
roller-coaster begins by slowly going backwards, but Whoosh! It takes off going
forward at full speed, and when it reaches the end, it takes the riders
backward to reach the starter point. Super-Duper-Looper is another roller-coaster
that has unexpected speed and loops. Last, Knott's Berry Farm has one of the
best roller-coasters. Xcelerator has a speed of 82 mph, and it loops once and
goes vertically a little. Sierra Sidewinder is a roller-coaster that not only
goes at a fast speed, but is like a teacup that spins around. There are
different types of roller-coasters that are thrilling to go on, but choose
wisely.
What's the best time to go on water rides?
Summer is the best time of year when everyone goes to water parks to cool off.
There are many types of water parks to go to, such as, SeaWorld, Elitch, and LEGOLAND. First, Sea World's top water rides are Journey to Atlantic and
Shipwrecks. Journey to Atlantic starts by going up, and having a drop that gets
the people soaking wet. Then, it turns into a roller-coaster. Shipwreck is a
ride with a boat that goes around, and has little drops. People might think of
them being lucky of not getting wet, but they are not. There's a running
waterfall at the end, so everyone will get wet. Second, Elitch has a lot of
water slides that are very exciting and fun. Tube top is their award winning
slide that drops the people to a tube that twirls around. The Edge is a 42 foot
slide that takes the person down with speed. Splash down is a great slide to go
with family or in a group. Last, LEGOLAND has one of the most fun water rides.
Dino Island ride is a log tour of the Lego dinosaurs and at the end of the
tour, there's a water drop. The twin Chaser is a tube slide where people go
down, and drop into a pool. Water parks are a fun attraction to go to when it’s
sunny outside.
Adults still wants their children to have
fun in an amusement park. That is why the amusement parks built children rides for
their children; such as, Disneyland, Universal Studious, and Cedar Point.
First, Disneyland has a lot of story rides for the children to go on. Alice and
Wonderland is one of their populist story rides. The ride isn't fast, and they
get to see the characters from the movie. Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin is a fun
ride. It goes fast, and speeds crazy; however, children will find this ride
fun. Little Mermaid is the story about the first movie. Disney built this ride
by telling the story by singing. Second, Universal Studious has mini movie
clips rides for the children. There's The Simpsons, which the ride twirls into
different screens. Transformers ride goes forwards, and move side to side to see
different clips from the movie. The minion ride is a ride that goes
forward, but it feels like you’re in the clips because its 3-D. Third, Cedar
Point has the Balloon Race when the ride goes up, and the rider decide how fast
they get to twirl around. Charlie Brown Wind Up is a swing that spins around in
circle. Kite Eating Tree is a ride that takes the children up and down just like The Lex Luther
tower, but a little slower and lower. There are kitty rides where they could go
alone or with a parent, but the children get to have fun.
Amusement park has different types of
rides, such as, roller-coaster, water rides, and children rides. Adults and
children get to enjoy all type of rides because they can go on any category of
this type of rides. Roller-coaster are the most dangerous rides to ride on, but
everyone still goes on it because they like the feeling they get when their on
it. Water parks are always open on summer, and sometime it's open on fall and
spring. There are two types of water ride, such as, it is built like a
roller-coaster or it's a slide. Children rides are everyone favorites included
adults because they get to have fun together. There are story rides, swing
ride, and little roller-coaster. Amusement parks were built for everyone to have
a great time.
